Treat the Cause, Not Your Symptoms
The body is a self-healing, auto-regulating organism and knows
the path toward optimum health and well-being. Every day, without
being aware of it, our bodies struggle to adjust to our environment,
mend themselves and attempt to achieve and maintain their inner
balance or homeostasis.
When the body is not in a balanced state, it produces symptoms,
such as headaches, joint pain, eczema or digestive gas. Symptoms
are a manifestation of the body's defense system, which is activated
against waste material or toxins from our external environment
and/or from our internal cellular environment. Symptoms are our
warning signal that the body is under stress and unable to maintain
a healthy balance and optimum function of our organs, glands and/or
tissues. To ignore our symptoms is to ignore the warning and over
time, these symptoms can become more severe or lead to new symptoms.
In conventional medicine, these symptoms are regarded as the disease
state and when the symptoms are treated and disappear, the disease
is thought to be gone also. Rather than restore an individual's
health, the focus is to use medications and treatments that mask
or suppress these warning signals.
In fact, symptoms are not the disease. They are an indication that
the body is attempting to heal itself. Our aches, inflammations
or fevers are the body's attempts to rectify its imbalanced state.
If we recognize this, then we can acknowledge that to use analgesics
for our headaches, anti-inflammatories for our joint pain or antipyretics
to reduce fevers is to actually suppress our healing process. With
repeated suppression, our bodies become less resilient, our immune
systems weaken and our health deteriorates.
In order to treat the cause, we must ask why the symptoms are present.
What underlying factors promote these symptoms? What support does
an individual need to encourage the healing process? The treatment
used will support the affected organs to encourage improved function
and the repair of any damaged tissue.
When we consider our health in a holistic perspective, ailments
are seen as a weakening of the whole system. As the elimination
organs slow down, toxic substances and cellular waste material
accumulate, leading to an internal clogging of the body and the
development of an individual's symptoms and disease.
Treatment through Homeopathic Drainage
Drainage is a process by which remedies are used to improve the
function of specific organs, tissues or glands and to stimulate
these tissues to eliminate or excrete the toxins that they hold.
This opens up the excretory channels and facilitates a cleansing
effect on a cellular level. By addressing the cellular imbalances
within the body, all body functions are improved.
The goal of drainage is to restore cells and therefore our organs,
glands and tissues to their optimum function. Optimum function
equals optimum health.
Specially formulated homeopathic remedies, which have an affinity
for specific organs, glands and tissues, are used to stimulate
and encourage the release of waste material.
